Our ministry promotes a welcoming and positive environment where people of all ages can be active, learn new skills, develop friendships, and enjoy participating in sports and recreation. YOUTH SPORTS
Colonial Park’s Youth Sports and Recreation program promotes a fun and positive environment where each participant can develop skills, learn fundamentals, team play and sportsmanship. All are welcome in our program!
Our youth teams participate in church recreation leagues that promote a spirit of fair play and sportsmanship, and honors Christ through prayer, healthy competition, and sports fellowship. Each player plays at least 50% of each game.
Colonial Park has a gym for basketball, pickleball, volleyball and other activities as well as a field and backstop for outdoor sports.
The Fall season will be a 6-game season with practices starting in mid-August and games starting Saturday, September 7, 2024. Invite your friends and sign up today!

· Age determined by using grade for the 2024/2025 school year and age as of June 1, 2024.

Colonial Park teams will compete in the East Shelby Church Recreation league with the regular season games scheduled on Saturdays and some weeknight games possible. Games are played at church fields in the league.

weeknight games possible. Games are scheduled at Colonial Park or at other churches in the league.
Colonial Park teams will play in the ESCRA league.
Co-Ed Kindergarten Basketball: The Kindergarten league will start practices in December and games will start in January. The Kindergarten games are on Friday nights and they will play on 7 to 7.5 foot goals.

BASEBALL, SOFTBALL and T-BALL
Registration closes soon for Baseball, Softball and T-Ball! The season will start with practices in April
and games beginning in May.

Practices and Games
Each team will practice at least once a week (but not more than twice) on Colonial Park’s field until games begin. The practice day and time will be determined by team preference and field availability.
Once games begin in May, teams will play two games per week and will not practice. Games are scheduled on
weeknights with make-up games scheduled for Saturdays. Colonial Park teams will compete in the PAA
league and games will be played at church fields in the league.

ADULT RECREATION AND WELLNESS
Come and learn the basic rules and fundamentals of Pickleball! Work on your skills and game strategy and improve your confidence on the court with Certified Pickleball Instructor, Linda McDaniel.

Our yoga classes are open to all levels of fitness. No yoga experience necessary. Come to experience the benefits of reducing stress, improved range of motion and increased flexibility and strength. Work on correcting postural alignment and balance. We also encourage deep breathing and relaxation.
